Asaka and Suiko search for a route to the rooftop where Ren fights Reversed Tetsu. During the battle, Ren remembers meeting Tetsu when he was young. Ren had encountered violent delinquents led by Tetsu and tried to introduce him to Vanguard. Tetsu initially ignored the game, but Ren persisted until Tetsu agreed to play. After losing, Tetsu became determined to win and eventually joined Ren, leading to their friendship and the formation of Team AL4. In the present, Reversed Tetsu claims power is everything and that Ren has fallen. He vows to defeat Ren and make him the king he desires.
