Yuri challenges the Reversed Kenji to a cardfight, noticing significant changes in his demeanor. During the match, she remembers meeting him when she and Gai sought a third team member. Although Kenji was weak then, Yuri invited him to join, and he eventually helped their team, Caesar, win the Japanese Vanguard National Championship through hard work. She gave him a pendant he still wears. Shocked by his current state, Yuri attempts a Break Ride combo, crying for him to return to his former self. Kenji ignores her pleas, survives her attacks, and wins using "Reverse" Daiyusha, succumbing Yuri to Reverse.
