Ep. 17: Dew-Wet Sleeves and the Meijin Queen Match Start

The Meijin and Queen match first round begins. Suou appears distracted by a phone call during memorization, upsetting Chihaya. For the Meijin match, Hiroshi and Sudo represent the team, while Sakurazawa and Momo Yuikawa, recommended by Ise-sensei, compete for the Queen title. Shinobu defeats Inokuma in a back-and-forth game, winning via luck of the draw. Suou attempts to mimic the Queen match outcome, but Harada-sensei wins the round. Taichi claims Suou intentionally lost to control the match duration. During the break before the second round, Chihaya visits Shinobu and reveals why she missed the Queen's Eastern Qualifiers, breaking their promise to play together and visibly upsetting Shinobu.
