Suou forces a fifth round against Harada-sensei by exploiting a fault, securing victory by twelve cards to earn the Eternal Meijin title. Shinobu anticipates next year's Queen match, having learned Chihaya used her cherished autographed handkerchief to create her tasuki. Although Suou plans to retire, Arata interrupts the winner's interview to persuade him to extend his reign for one additional year. The group returns to Tokyo via bullet train, but Taichi remains behind to compete in the Takamatsu Memorial Cup scheduled for the following day.
