Expelled from the Hanafubuki Gumi, Kitoo and other delinquents conspire to assassinate Kikunosuke's father, their former boss. Simultaneously, Kikunosuke follows her father's instructions to stay with Ryo in order to study dignity and honor. In a separate development, Kaori approaches Kikunosuke's father with a specific request. She asks for permission to let her daughter live a normal life, distinct from the criminal underworld. These parallel events highlight the conflicting paths of the characters as they navigate their respective obligations and desires within the story's setting.
