Ep. 1: Raki survives Yoma attacks and joins the Claymore Clare as a traveling cook.

After his family is slaughtered by a Yoma, young Raki encounters a Claymore hired to slay the beast. He later faces a Yoma disguised as his brother at his uncle's home but is rescued by the Claymore. Terrified villagers subsequently banish Raki, leaving him to perish in the desert. He is saved by a Claymore and attacked by another Yoma while searching for his rescuer. The Claymore who saved him intervenes again, allowing him to accompany her as a cook and revealing her name is Clare.
