In an alternate Japan, approximately 20 years after the war, various superhumans coexist. These beings include extraterrestrial Titans, mystical lifeforms, ancient phantoms, scientific cyborgs, and relics from ancient civilizations. Some are openly known and accepted, while others remain hidden. Anti-superhuman groups also exist, working in secrecy. To manage this situation, the Japanese government created the Superhuman Bureau under the Ministry of Health and Welfare. This organization is responsible for identifying, contacting, and protecting superhumans. Jiro Hitoyoshi, a member of the Superhuman Bureau, plays a central role in the series.
