Pregnant for three months, Misae struggles with nausea caused by food smells and attempts to avoid eating, but eventually vomits. Meanwhile, Shin-chan pursues his hobby of collecting cardboard toilet rolls from the entire neighborhood. In another incident, a bookstore salesperson tries to prevent Shin-chan from reading books, but the attempt fails. Instead of being stopped, Shin-chan ends up teaching the salesperson a trick for reading books.
