Stranded in the desert, Kotaro encounters a traveler named Fox and her companion Gurnee, who explain that a war erupted due to a power struggle between the former king's two sons. They also reveal the mystery surrounding a pyramid-like structure called Taboo. After the group separates, Kuro teams up with a cyborg named Vice to search the desert for Nana and Juliet. Meanwhile, Romeo is tasked with assuming the role of the deceased older brother to prevent his army from being overthrown by the rival sibling.
