Although Nemu initially recovered, she remains confined to bed and continues coughing cherry blossom petals. Upon observing this, Sakura understands that the magical tree has not perished and that she has not truly moved on from Jun'ichi. Consequently, she decides to depart Hatsune-jima to create distance between herself and Jun'ichi. Meanwhile, Mako and Suginami visit Nemu, but they discover that she has lost her memory of them. This lack of recognition causes Nemu to become anxious during their interaction, highlighting the ongoing impact of the magical events on those involved.
