Otome and Yoshiyuki investigate recent arson and street collapse incidents on Hatsune-Jima, suspecting a common cause. Suginami provides historical articles, leading them to Jun'ichi, who recounts events from 50 years ago. He reveals that the island's sakura trees were not always blooming and explains the origin of their wish-granting power. The pair then encounter Anzu, who shares a tale about a girl who obtained a powerful memory from the tree. Following these revelations, Otome and Yoshiyuki attempt to make a wish at the cherry blossom tree before returning home to feed a hungry Yume.
