Miyu's father arrives in Japan and stays at the temple, prompting Miyu and Kanata to hide Ruu and Wanya from him. They discover he is fighting with Miyu's mother. The girls attempt to persuade him to return to America but fail. Communication between the parents occurs via laptops. Kanata realizes her mother is in Japan, and they locate her to resolve the conflict. The dispute is revealed to stem from the mother eating all the umeboshi. The group successfully addresses the issue, restoring harmony between the parents while the children manage the situation at the temple.
