Ep. 2: Shido trains with Tamae and Origami before naming the Spirit Tohka during a spatial quake.
Shido begins stage two of his training by applying his powers to real humans, starting with his teacher Tamae Okamine, who becomes obsessively infatuated with him with help from Reine Murasame and Kotori. After fleeing Tamae, Shido encounters Origami and uses her for practice, inadvertently starting a romantic relationship. A spatial quake alarm sounds, signaling the appearance of the "Princess" Spirit at Raizen High School. Following an evacuation and partial destruction of the school, Shido enters to confront the Spirit, connecting with her and naming her Tohka. The AST attacks Tohka from a distance, but Origami, believing Shido is being held hostage, engages Tohka in close combat and is injured. The following day, Tohka finds Shido amidst the wreckage so they can go on their date.
