Sawamura trains intensely until Chris intervenes, ordering Miyuki to conduct pickoff and leg positioning drills to prevent injury. Furuya is reminded to trim his nails and joins the pickoff training, later calling Miyuki twisted. Tanba observes his rivals and vows to retain the ace number. As hell week starts, Tanba and Kawakami join the bullpen, while Sawamura and Furuya focus on fielding and base coverage before moving to outfield catching. In the bullpen, Tanba practices a secret pitch with Miyauchi, the secondary varsity catcher.
