A missed pitch costs Eijun Sawamura his final middle school baseball game, prompting him and his team to set a goal of reaching the national tournament in high school. A scout notices Eijun's unique pitching and invites him to join Seidou High School in Tokyo. Supported by his new teammates, Eijun agrees, hoping to refine his abilities in a more competitive environment. However, he faces challenges adapting to the high level of talent at the school. Determined to become the team’s ace, Eijun competes with first-year Satoru Furuya, whose fastballs secure him a starting position.
