Ep. 7: Sawamura pitches effectively while Seido struggles with weather and base hitting

Sawamura’s presence alters the game’s rhythm as Mukai increases his pitch volume and Seido improves their on-base consistency. Despite weather issues causing a bunt failure for Sawamura, he maintains control by pitching outside and securing 1-2-3 innings until the top of the eighth. A double with two outs threatens Teito’s lead, but a ground out ends the threat. In the bottom of the eighth, Mukai retires the first two batters before allowing a single to Toujou Hideaki and a double to Kuraomichi. To prevent a comeback, Teito walks Haruichi to load the bases, setting up a confrontation with the hitless Maezono Kenta.
