Upon entering the digital world, Rika sees what she believes to be a satellite and hopes Calamon is present. The team searches for Calumon but discovers the objects are actually rocks. Meramon then launches an attack, causing the group to split. Takato, Guilmon, Henry, Terriermon, Jeri, and Leomon form one group, while Rika, Renamon, Kazu, and Kenta form the other. Additionally, Calumon and Makuramon become separated from everyone else during the chaos.
