While cleaning the shed with his mother, Nobita discovers a red shoe belonging to a former neighbor who moved to America. He recalls how he and his friends, Suneo and Gian, bullied him into stealing the shoe before her departure. To rectify this past mistake, Nobita asks Doraemon to travel back in time with him. In the past, he returns the shoe and apologizes for his actions. The girl promises to find him in America when they grow up and gives him their old playhouse cookware. This story was remade in 1987 as "Memories of the Red Shoe."
