Senku and Ryusui dispute the path to America, with Ryusui preferring the safer 70-day rhumb line and Senku insisting on the risky 40-day Great Circle Route to harvest corn before winter. They settle the argument with a poker game where Gen joins Ryusui, prompting Kohaku to assist Senku by monitoring for cheating. Although Kohaku catches Gen manipulating Ryusui’s hand, Senku counters by marking cards with urushiol, an allergen he suffers from, to secure a royal straight flush victory. Following the win, Ryusui establishes a casino for the crew while Senku brews beer to boost morale.

Science crew arrives in America after reviving Moz and Homura and crafting a sunstone

Ryusui requests Francois to prepare non-alcoholic cocktails for Suika, Tsukasa, Gen, Kohaku, and Senku, pleasing the group. Meanwhile, Matsukaze recounts his late master’s history to an intoxicated Ginro. Senku revives Hyoga, who agrees to train Matsukaze in modern combat techniques at Tsukasa’s behest, provided he can revive two others. Consequently, Senku brings Moz and Homura back to life, and they reluctantly join the team. Drawing inspiration from Viking voyages to America, Chrome constructs a sunstone using calcite to locate the sun regardless of weather. Following days of sailing across the Pacific Ocean, the science crew successfully reaches America.

Science crew faces ambush and hostile scientist while searching for corn in San Francisco Bay.

The science team anchors in San Francisco Bay, dividing into groups to secure resources and locate corn. Tsukasa and fighters escort scouts up the Sacramento River, where they repel a crocodile attack and retrieve corn from the animals' stomachs. Kohaku spots more corn floating downstream, prompting Senku to suspect a larger supply. Using a light trap to catch corn-eating moths, Senku confirms a nearby corn source. However, Tsukasa detects a threat as an unknown attacker opens fire with a machine gun, forcing the group to flee. Ukyo deduces that someone revived independently and established a settlement with corn fields. Senku realizes they are confronting another scientist with hostile intentions, which strengthens his resolve to continue their mission.

Senku and Ryusui seize a crashed plane while Gen infiltrates the enemy camp to meet Dr. Xeno.

After an aerial attack, Senku disables the enemy aircraft using an acetylene gas grenade provided to Kirisame. The scouting team recovers the crashed plane, leading Senku and Ryusui to commandeer it for tactical advantage. Examination of the wreckage reveals corn kernels, suggesting a nearby cornfield runway. Senku dispatches Gen, Chrome, and Kohaku to locate the site. Suspecting a trap, Gen proceeds alone, leaving flower petals as markers for his companions. He is captured by Stanley Snider and brought before Dr. Xeno, leader of the American colony. During interrogation, Xeno demands the identity of their scientist leader. To protect Senku, Gen falsely claims that Taiju holds this position, deceiving the antagonist.

Chrome and Kohaku observe the enemy base and confirm Gen’s infiltration, prompting a brief call to Senku that is cut short to avoid detection. Dr. Xeno contacts them using their frequency, mistakenly identifying Taiju as the scientist. Taiju confronts Xeno about the danger of machine guns, but Xeno reveals a Haber-Bosch plant for mass-producing gunpowder. Taiju refuses to share revival fluid secrets, leading Xeno to end the call. Stanley flies a nearby plane, proving Xeno knows their location. Senku plans to convert the Perseus into an aircraft carrier to deploy the commandeered plane. The science crew deduces the scouts' location via radio timing to target the factory and cornfield. Hyoga suggests deploying a team with Tsukasa, Ukyo, and Suika to locate Chrome and Kohaku and capture Xeno.

Luna infiltrates the crew while Senku uncovers Xeno's true identity as a former NASA scientist.

Stanley dispatches Luna to infiltrate the Kingdom of Science and lure Taiju for assassination. Ryusui suspects her espionage, while Senku secretly aims to extract intelligence on Xeno to transmit to Tsukasa’s squad. Luna locates Taiju but is intercepted by Senku, who attempts to charm her for information. Ryusui and Francois interrupt, requesting a treat. Senku and Francois recreate ice cream, delighting Luna. During this interaction, Senku realizes Dr. Xeno is a former NASA scientist and his childhood mentor who inspired his passion for rocketry. This revelation shifts the dynamic as Luna’s mission is disrupted by Senku’s scientific charm and the unexpected connection to her leader’s past.

Senku remembers his childhood efforts to build a rocket with Taiju, seeking NASA help after a failure. While most scientists refused, twenty-year-old Xeno provided instructions and materials, which Senku purchased using his father Byakuya’s government credit card. Simultaneously, Xeno faced rejections at NASA, fostering bitterness. When Byakuya proposed a hypothetical stone world, Xeno declared he would rule with an iron fist. On the eve of petrification, both analyzed petrified swallows, discovering they retained consciousness. Xeno ordered Stanley, Luna, and others to stay awake. Anticipating a need for corn, Senku and Xeno planned a trip to California before the wave hit, only to awaken together later.

Xeno establishes a base in California while Senku evades Stanley’s sniper fire on the Perseus.

Xeno escapes petrification using nitric acid derived from bat guano, then awakens Stanley and his team to relocate to northern California. There, he sets up a Haber-Bosch facility to pursue global dominance. Meanwhile, aboard the Perseus, Luna signals Senku’s location to Stanley by mouthing his name, which Ryusui observes with growing suspicion. Stanley’s team detects radio interference, revealing a nearby sniping unit. Xeno identifies Senku as the true scientist by analyzing voice recordings and calculating his height. With time running out, Senku creates a makeshift bulletproof vest from starch and water. Despite hiding, Stanley calculates Senku’s position on the ship and fires, striking him while he holds the protective bag.

Senku suffers serious injuries from a sniper attack, leaving him bedridden despite the protection of his bulletproof bag. Luna, a former medical student, agrees to treat his wounds after Taiju pleads with her. Meanwhile, Chrome and Kohaku continue scouting the American base from a distance. Tsukasa, Hyoga, Ukyo, and Suika arrive by following Gen's flower trail. To infiltrate undetected, Tsukasa and Hyoga propose digging under the base with an invention Senku could design. The team receives a Uesugi cipher message about Senku's condition. Ukyo shoots an arrow containing the Medusa to Xeno's base to intimidate him and allow time for construction. Xeno plans a new weapon in two weeks. Chrome begins his roadmap to build the tunneling drill, remembering Senku's teachings.

Taiju drives the mobile lab to Chrome’s team to deliver drill components, intentionally carrying Carlos, a spy for Xeno, to ensure he tails them. After the team assembles and tests the drill, Senku directs the conversion of a boat into an aircraft carrier, impressing Luna with his leadership. She sends an encrypted message declaring Senku her boyfriend, prompting Carlos, who is always Team Luna, to defect and provide a map of Xeno’s base. Gen, wearing a radio earring, deciphers the code while Xeno’s team completes their weapon. As Stanley approaches the Perseus with his plane to signal war, Ryusui and a recovering Senku board the commandeered aircraft and launch it from the carrier to initiate a dogfight.

Aerial dogfight and submarine ambush lead to capture and counterattack

Senku and Ryusui fight Stanley in the air while Xeno’s hidden submarine destroys the Perseus and captures Kingdom of Science members. Senku disables Stanley’s plane with acetylene gas but crashes his own vessel due to an accident. The duo finds a decoy instead of Stanley, who then shoots Moz and Matsukaze. Meanwhile, Tsukasa and his team emerge from a tunnel to corner Xeno at his base.

The team escapes Xeno's tower, allies with Brody, and sails toward South America while being pursued by Stanley.

The battle team infiltrates Xeno's tower, rescues Gen, and captures Xeno. A mishap with Chrome's homemade bomb collapses the tunnel, trapping Chrome with Xeno. Xeno tries to recruit Chrome, but is refused. After being freed, Chrome radios Senku about their success. Meanwhile, the other Perseus spy, Max, frees Luna, plus Francois and Kaseki at Luna's request, before regrouping with the battle team, Senku and Ryusui. With their new advance party, the team hijack a small boat and Senku contacts Brody, Xeno's top mechanic. In exchange for an alliance with the Kingdom of Science to build a city in America by reviving 1 million people, Senku gives him the recipe for the revival fluid. Excited, Brody agrees with Senku's terms and frees the Perseus crew, but warns him that Stanley will likely hunt them across the world. As the boat approaches the Perseus, Stanley shoots at it and knocks off the Medusa placed on the front, believing Gen lied about it, and vows to hunt them down. After saying goodbye to their friends who are staying behind, the group heads to South America, the epicenter of the original petrification beam.
