Ep. 143: Goku reveals Kami's true identity and Piccolo's split to his friends

Goku informs Master Roshi, Tien, Krillin, and Yamcha that Hero is actually Kami in human form. He explains how Kami and Piccolo separated into distinct good and evil entities. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Goku accepts that he must defeat Piccolo. When their battle commences, both fighters initially display equal power levels. However, Piccolo soon overwhelms Goku with a rapid series of strikes. The assault leaves Goku trapped in a crater as the referee begins the count.
