Goku engages in combat with Yakon, who proves to be significantly weaker initially. Recognizing this disparity, Babidi alters the surroundings to resemble the Planet of Darkness, Yakon's home world. To gain visibility, Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan. Yakon, known as the devourer of light, absorbs the illumination emitted by Goku. In response, Goku powers up again to a Super Saiyan, allowing Yakon to consume all available light energy. Finally, Goku ascends to Super Saiyan 2, releasing a brilliant burst of energy that overwhelms Yakon. Having secured victory, the fighters proceed to the next level.
