Ep. 267: Old Kai reveals permanent fusion while Buu attacks Dende and Goku fights to protect Gohan

Old Kai instructs Supreme Kai and Kibito to attempt fusion, revealing it is permanent only after they combine. Dende heals Gohan, prompting Buu to launch a massive energy ball at the healer. Tien deflects the attack with his Tri-Beam, though he is severely outmatched. Buu attacks again, but Goku arrives and severs Buu’s legs and part of his head with an energy disk. The detached legs kick Tien, incapacitating him, before returning to Buu. Goku attempts to give Gohan an earring for fusion but loses it in the rubble. He transforms into Super Saiyan 3 to stall Buu while Gohan searches. Inside Super Buu, Gotenks’ fusion expires, reverting to Trunks and Goten, which reduces Buu’s power by over a third and alters his form. Goku believes he can now win alone. To regain strength, Buu reabsorbs the severed head containing Gohan, becoming even more powerful than before.
