Believing he is overpowered, Buu initiates a self-destruct sequence intending to eliminate Gohan. Gohan successfully evades the explosion and rescues his companions, moving them beyond the blast zone. Although Buu’s body is not found, Gohan remains convinced he is still alive. The group then detects Dende’s energy signature and heads toward him. During their journey, they encounter Hercule Satan and his dog, Bee. Dende reveals that Mr. Popo ejected Buu through an inter-dimensional portal from the Lookout to preserve the Dragon Balls, which are essential for reversing the destruction. Upon locating the group, Buu does not engage Gohan again but instead summons Goten and Trunks for a confrontation.
