Ep. 20: Ichiro seeks Meguru while Reiji and Hikaru battle a dragon with a local boy's help.

Ichiro Sumishiba approaches Maiko, Daisuke, and Rokkaku but requests to speak with Meguru first. He reminisces about his past and begs her to return to Earth for her sister, Agent L. Meanwhile, Reiji travels with Chibi to find the legendary dragon Shinsaber. He becomes trapped in a swamp and attacked by the dragon. A mysterious young man named Kohryu attempts to assist but fails. Hikaru arrives and defeats the dragon, accidentally destroying a sacred shrine. Reiji and Hikaru are arrested, and the boy explains the situation. Learning of Reiji's plan, the boy investigates his teacher, the village Defense Force leader, and discovers the truth about the dragon. He helps Reiji and Hikaru escape, and they defeat the dragon together to prove their trust. Hikaru watches as Chibi is too hungry to transform. Reiji and the boy defeat the dragon, earning the boy a spot on the Defense Force. The teacher is exposed as a fraud, and Reiji and Chibi depart, though Hikaru persists in following them.
