Amphisbaena operates an underground casino, and Heaven's Slave is a drug-dealing gang, yet their true identities remain unknown despite circulating rumors. The Awakusu gang hires Izaya to investigate these mysterious organizations. However, Izaya is captured by Amphisbaena before he can complete his task. Mimizu, the No. 2 figure in the organization, subjects Izaya to torment, attempting to extract confidential information from him. This encounter shifts the dynamic as the investigator becomes the captive, facing psychological pressure from his captors while the origins of the rival factions remain obscured.
