Re-l attempts to persuade her colleagues about her experiences with creatures known as Proxy, but they remain unconvinced. Consequently, she is dismissed from the ongoing investigation. She subsequently discovers that Iggy has had his memories of recent events wiped clean. In a parallel development, Vincent finds himself pursued by a Proxy and the city's law enforcement officers. He is forced to go on the run to evade capture. The narrative highlights the growing isolation of Re-l as her claims are rejected, while simultaneously depicting Vincent's desperate struggle for survival against both supernatural threats and human authorities.
