Rick Wheeler crashes during practice, prompting Jody Summer and Dr. Clash to question his abilities. Director Tanaka briefs the team on Zoda’s threat, but Rick remains distracted until café owner Burt advises him on counter-steering. Rick joins the Nintae race despite orders, taking the lead by applying Burt’s advice. Captain Falcon appears to stop thugs attacking fans, then races ahead, causing Jack Levin to crash. Jack admits he sabotaged Rick’s vehicle to hide his own incompetence. Jody forgives Jack for protecting Rick’s confidence. Rick returns to base to find Lucy Liberty, a fan he saved, joining the Galaxy Mobile Platoon as a new recruit.
