Lucy Heartfilia learns that Loke is actually the Celestial Spirit Leo the Lion. She finds out his previous owner was the famous Celestial Spirit Mage Karen Lilica. After Karen died, Leo could not return to the Celestial Spirit World. Lucy tries to help him, but Loke stops her. He explains that she cannot save him because he killed Karen himself. This act broke the fundamental rule between humans and spirits. The revelation changes Lucy's understanding of their past interactions. She now knows the dark secret behind his presence in the human world. This discovery creates tension as she realizes the gravity of his actions and the permanent nature of his exile from the spirit realm.
