Shirou attends school without Saber, prompting Rin to confront him for acting independently. She waits until the area is empty before launching an attack. Rin manages to corner Shirou, but their fight is interrupted by the sound of a female student screaming. The two temporarily cease hostilities and investigate the source of the noise together. Upon arriving at the location, they discover an unexpected situation that alters the course of their encounter. This event forces them to cooperate briefly despite their ongoing rivalry and mutual annoyance.
