Ep. 3: Kayneth kills Risei, Maiya captures Sola-Ui, and Lancer dies after a geas deal with Kiritsugu.
Kayneth murders Risei to secure a Command Seal, then scolds Lancer for failing to protect Sola-Ui, who is kidnapped by Maiya. Saber and Iri arrive at Kayneth’s hideout, prompting a duel with Lancer. Kiritsugu forces Kayneth to use his final Command Seal to make Lancer commit suicide via a geas contract that prevents Kiritsugu from harming Kayneth or Sola-Ui directly. Lancer curses everyone before dying on his lance. Maiya immediately shoots Kayneth and Sola-Ui, bypassing the contract. Saber ends Kayneth’s suffering while confronting Kiritsugu about his dishonorable methods. Kiritsugu argues that chivalry is meaningless in war and that he will commit any evil necessary to save the world. He leaves with Maiya, leaving Iri collapsed from exhaustion.
