Ep. 9: Waver and Rider face Archer while Kirei kills Irisviel and sets a trap for the remaining Masters.

Waver returns to the Mackenzie household, where Glen and Martha acknowledge his true identity but appreciate his company. In Caster’s lair, Kirei interrogates Irisviel, rejecting her comparison to Kiritsugu, who seeks world peace through the Grail. Kirei kills Irisviel by snapping her neck and vows to destroy Kiritsugu’s dream. Later, Waver and Rider spot magical flares near the theater, intended to lure them into a duel with Archer. Rider summons Bucephalus, and Waver offers all Command Seals to empower him, feeling unworthy as Master. Rider refuses, calling Waver a friend and inviting him to ride together. Kiritsugu and Saber recognize the flares as a trap to gather remaining Masters and Servants. Kirei prepares for his fight with Kiritsugu, dispatching Berserker against Saber and Archer against Rider. Meanwhile, Irisviel’s soul contacts Angra Mainyu within the Grail before vanishing.
