Ep. 23: Tohru recovers from illness and studies while Kyo faces Kagura

Devastated by failing her final exam, Tohru is encouraged by Yuki, Arisa, and Saki to take a make-up test. While walking home with Kyo, she develops a fever and collapses. Shigure advises rest and contacts Momiji, who cannot work due to her illness. Kyo prepares dinner for Tohru, offering his own form of encouragement when she cries over her perceived lack of progress. Hatori, Momiji, and Kana visit, with Hatori administering medicine and Yuki providing study notes. After passing the make-up exam, Tohru walks home with Kyo and Yuki, where they encounter Kagura. Despite Kyo’s attempts to flee, Shigure forces him to go shopping with her. During their outing, Kagura questions Kyo about concealing his true form from Tohru, prompting him to silence her. Upon returning home, Kyo encounters a familiar figure at his front door.
