Takuto becomes angry at Mitsuki after seeing a poor drawing of him, prompting him to leave while Meroko follows. During this time, an elderly man collapses near their home, and Ms. Tanaka assists him. In return for her help, he presents her with the Saint's Stone, a large rock capable of repelling shinigami. This artifact inadvertently stops Takuto and Meroko from contacting Mitsuki, creating a significant problem since she has important duties to perform later. The situation arises directly from the old man's gratitude and the stone's specific magical properties affecting the characters' movements.
