Ep. 5: Nozaki prepares for his editor while learning about manga heroines through daily experiences.

Nozaki frantically cleans his apartment for his editor, Ken Miyamae, who visits briefly, leading Sakura to believe he dislikes Nozaki. Nozaki actually praises Ken compared to his former editor Maeno, with whom he had negative experiences. Sakura meets Nozaki’s neighbor Yukari Miyako, a fellow manga artist, and later encounters Maeno. Ken advises Nozaki that the heroine should express more emotion. To understand this, Nozaki acts like the heroine for a day, giving lunches to friends and rescuing Kashima from angry girls. He realizes he needs to study more and incorporates these insights into his storyboards.
