Ep. 1: Samurai and shinobi transported to ruined Tokyo after storm

Samurai Sensui Kanzaki and shinobi Kenroku Sanada are exiled by boat during the Tokugawa period in Edo. A fierce storm transports them forward in time to a devastated, ruined Tokyo. They witness a man transform into a monster and attack them. Kathleen Funada and the old man Maeda rescue them, bringing them to a compound of surviving humans. Inside, she and Dr. Yoshinaga explain that the monsters result from the Gibia virus, which has infected humans worldwide. The survivors must now navigate this new reality while dealing with the threat of the infected creatures that roam the destroyed city.
