Meanwhile, Katsura has successfully advanced in rank and gained popularity as Saitou's replacement. The Yorozuya team takes on the critical mission of proving Saitou's innocence to prevent his unjust death. Simultaneously, they must reveal the true identity of the Joi patriot hiding behind the disguise. This dual objective requires the group to navigate complex political tensions within the Shinsengumi while uncovering the deception that has led to this dangerous situation for their acquaintance.
