Gintama'

Shinpachi returns to Edo after a year away and finds his friends Gintoki and Kagura unrecognizably altered. Confused, he flees their home and discovers that nearly everyone in Edo has changed drastically in looks and behavior. His sister Otae is now married to Isao Kondou of the Shinsengumi and is pregnant. At their request, Shinpachi joins the Shinsengumi and uncovers further bizarre changes within and beyond the group. Only Toushirou Hijikata remains the same, and together with him, Shinpachi aims to restore Edo to its former state. The series continues with its signature mix of crude humor, parodies, and pop culture references as the Yorozuya navigate this transformed world.
