Distressed by these sudden changes, Shinpachi runs to the ocean to lament the situation. There, he learns that Kyubei Yagyu underwent a sex change to modify her life. Their conversation is interrupted by Kotaro Katsura, who also changed his gender due to the similarities between his and Kyubei's characters.
