GR: Giant Robo

In the year 20XX, massive unidentified robots known as Giant Robo (GR) emerge globally, attacking cities and instilling worldwide fear. Japan becomes their next target. Daisaku Kusama, who works at a diving shop, meets a girl named V at ancient ruins on Minami Yonaguni Island in Okinawa. She guides him to form a contract with a colossal robot, Giant Robo 1 (GR1). Kusama enters an agreement with the organization UNISOM and is authorized as GR1’s commander. He begins combat against the opposing group GRO, leading to various conflicts. As the 21st century progresses, the Giant Robo will confront the world with questions about the true nature of its power.
