Tokuoka and Mai travel to meet Yuki, known as Yukichin, in Yokohama. Tokuoka faces traffic delays while Mai visits a Tokyo library to research. She hears a strange sound and finds information on Harald Hoerwick and the Epitaph of Twilight using an offline newspaper reel. Meanwhile, Yuki watches a movie when THE WORLD flashes on screen, causing a power outage. Employees evacuate, but Yuki and a colleague navigate broken escalators and climb through a ventilation shaft. They slide down elevator cables using makeshift mittens after a fire alarm releases carbon dioxide. Tokuoka eventually reaches the meeting point six hours late. Mai contacts Kyo, learning of fires across Yokohama and lost cell service. The woman Yuki escaped with twists her ankle, but they exit to find crashed cars. The woman identifies the event as the second coming of Pluto's Kiss. Kyo reveals knowledge about the Epitaph of Twilight.
