Yu Nishinoya returns to improve the team's receiving skills but refuses to play until ace Asahi Azumane rejoins. Meanwhile, advisor Ittetsu Takeda persistently tries to recruit Keishin Ukai as the new Karasuno High coach. Keishin rejects the offer, stating he is not like his grandfather and has no interest in managing teenagers. Undeterred, Ittetsu devises a strategy to lure Keishin into coaching by arranging a practice match against Nekoma.
