Ep. 23: Towa sacrifices herself to save Rion, ending the conflict with Kirinmaru and Osamu Kirin.

Towa regains her demonic power to kill Osamu Kirin, then mourns Riku’s death before reuniting with Setsuna and Moroha. Sesshoumaru defeats Kirinmaru in battle. Towa uses the Zanseiken to save Rion, draining her own life force. Rion fuses with Towa, who survives. Kirinmaru accepts defeat and asks to see Rion. He apologizes, and Setsuna cuts the red thread of fate between them. Kirinmaru and Rion die peacefully, joining Zero. Towa is saved, and the group is congratulated by their family. The Grim Butterfly disappears from the sky, and everyone returns to their peaceful lives.
