Ep. 20: Osamu enters the Grim Comet while demons attack and Rion seeks the Kyuuyoukon Root's power.

Osamu enters the Grim Comet's core, discovering a pale blue substance, while Kirinmaru's incarnation uses demonic power to drag the comet to the feudal era. Osamu shows Beast King images of the modern world, hoping Rion will appreciate them. During the demon attacks, Priestess Kaede, Inuyasha, Kagome, and Shippo defend themselves, while Miroku purifies enemies with spiritual power and Sango uses her Black Hiraikotsu, infused with Kin'u's Buddhist energy. Rion reaches Mount Musubi and requests the Kyuuyoukon Root's strength. Riku provides an apple seed from his first meeting with Towa, which grows into a tree yielding a glowing green apple for Rion. Inside the Sacred Tree of Ages, Rin worries for Towa and Setsuna while caring for Sesshoumaru. In the modern era, the Half-Demon Princesses fear for Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha due to Osamu's plan to eradicate all demons and ask the Sacred Tree of Ages to open a gateway to the past, but it remains unresponsive.
