During a Pikarigaoka Halloween parade, Blue joins the girls while Seiji feels jealous of her closeness to Megumi. Hime notices Seiji's distress as everyone enjoys pumpkin cakes. Oresky attacks using a Pumpkin Saiark, driven by fear of being worthless after learning Mirage plans to deploy a stronger enemy. Megumi understands his desperation to be number one. The Cures defeat the Saiark and try to purify Oresky, but their Big Bang attack is halted by Mirage's new enforcer. This enforcer is revealed to be Maria, Iona's kidnapped sister, shocking Iona. The episode focuses on the emotional conflicts between Seiji, Hime, and Oresky, culminating in the dramatic appearance of Maria as the obstacle to the Cures' victory.
