Maria declines Iona’s invitation to join the HappinessCharge Cures, planning to return to America with her parents to assist Pretty Cures globally. Iona is upset and challenges Maria to a karate match to change her mind, but she loses. The following day, Iona accompanies Maria to see her off. Their farewell is interrupted by the appearance of Hosshiiwa with a Kung-fu Saiark. Iona defeats the enemy alongside the other Cures. Witnessing this battle, Maria departs the city with confidence, leaving Iona and her friends in charge of protecting the area.
