The Cures confront Red, attempting to defeat his hatred with love through Innocent Purification. Red withstands the attack, forcing the Cures out of their Innocent Forms and trapping them in mirrors, while Seiji sacrifices himself to protect Megumi. Red reveals he is the former god of the destroyed Red Planet, whose failure to save it turned him to hatred. He seeks to destroy Earth so Blue can share his pain. Understanding his suffering, Megumi offers to help him fulfill his true wish. She receives power from the collective prayers of Cures worldwide, transforming into Forever Lovely to continue the battle.
