Issei Hyodo, an unpopular Kuoh Academy student, experiences a dream where Yuma Amano asks him out before revealing herself as the fallen angel Raynare and killing him. He wakes up unharmed, but the reality shifts when he is stabbed again by Dohnaseek. Rias Gremory, the crimson-haired academy idol, intervenes to save him, claiming him as her own. The following morning, Issei finds himself naked in bed with Rias, who confirms the events were real. She introduces herself as a devil and declares Issei to be her new servant, marking the beginning of his supernatural life.
