While gathering strawberries for Mamiya’s birthday, her younger brother Kō is seized by the Fang Clan and executed publicly near the village gates. In response, Kenshiro and Rei depart independently to exact retribution against the perpetrators. The two eventually encounter a group of Fang Clan members and eliminate them all. Following this confrontation, Rei discloses his true objective: he is hunting for the Man with the Seven Scars. Rei believes this individual is responsible for the death of his family and the abduction of his sister, Airi, driving his actions in this quest for justice.
