Uighur, Warden of Cassandra, captures a man with a secret scroll and his family to expand Ken-Oh’s martial arts collection. Kenshiro’s group faces an ambush by the Cassandra Assault Squad. Uighur coerces Bella, a Ranzan Kurenaiken successor, to assassinate Ken while Targel watches. Ken defeats Bella but spares her, prompting Targel to execute her mother as punishment. Bella attacks Targel but is overwhelmed by his Kokushou Juujiken style and dies. Kenshiro and his companions return to avenge her, killing the guards and Targel. Word of Targel’s defeat spreads to Cassandra and reaches Uighur.
