Ep. 23: Hisoka defeats Geretta and returns the badges to Gon after poisoning

During the Hunter Exam, Gon acquires Hisoka's number badge while Hisoka eliminates an examinee who obstructed his path. Later, Gon is poisoned by Geretta and stripped of his badges. Hisoka swiftly kills Geretta and retrieves both Gon's and his own badges. Although Gon attempts to decline the items, he cannot refuse. Hisoka declares that he will kill Gon when the time is right, but until then, he will protect him. He punches Gon in the face, stating that Gon may return the badges only after he is able to return the punch. This event occurs within the Hunter Exam arc.
